Dan Smolen, attorney for the Harris family, along with the Smolen, Smolen & Roytman partners, spoke at a press conference on April 20, 2015, the same day as the release of reserve deputy Robert Bates’ training records.

Smolen began the conference by saying the main intent is to fulfill his promise to the Harris family and “expose the truth.” He continues to show that the records to not show that Bates was trained using a .357, the weapon used in the fatal shooting of Eric Harris on April 2.
