See if you can keep up with the lies that have unraveled since the April 2, 2015 deadly shooting of Eric Harris.
Robert Bates, a reserve deputy for the Tulsa County Sheriff Office, fatally shot Eric Harris on April 2 after an unarmed Harris fled an undercover gun buy. Bates has said he inadvertently used his revolver on Harris instead of a Taser. Ever since, the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office has been spinning the truth and fending off questions on Bates’ age, false training records and the involvement of the Violent Crimes Task Force.
“This will be the first time that the world sees what an office that holds themselves to protect and serve actually does after a bad shooting,” says partner Daniel Smolen, the attorney for the Harris family. Watch the video to see the many ways the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office story has changed since this fatal incident.
